AP Exam
The A.P. exam is divided into two sections, writing and multiple choice
questions, each worth 50 percent. There are 75 multiple choice questions,
two free response essay questions and a data based question (DBQ). The
highest score on the exam is a 5 and the lowest is 1.
A passing score is 3 or higher. Please note that some colleges
require a higher passing score on the exam.
The exam's content will cover 5 chronological units of study. The content
of each unit will have the following weighted percentages on the A.P.
exam:
Foundations: Pre-history 1000 C.E. (14%)
Unit II: 1000 C.E. 1450 C.E. (22%)
Unit III: 1450 C.E. 1750 C.E. (22%)
Unit IV: 1750 C.E. 1914 C.E. (20%)
Unit V: 1914 C.E. 2003 C.E. (22%)
